NIDUS Corp. Technical Illustration Explanations without words™
Technical illustrations in line art are usually produced in black and white, owing to their beginning with pens and India ink. Times have changed, and now, instead of making changes by erasing, we simply click and delete. Line art would seem to be the most basic form of drawing, but as you can see in the example at the right, there's a lot of "color" in the different line weights used to describe the product. Line art is usually created in vector programs such as Adobe Illustrator, and generally used in instruction manuals, catalogs, and Illustrated Parts Breakdowns (IPBs). It's probably my favorite drawing form.
